Step 1 -Install UsersControl Plugin

Choosing the right version of User Control is the key to start with your online fitness business. We recommend the Plus version of UsersControl, it comes with a Content Protection module which allows you to protect any kind of media files.

You can easily protect your workout videos and make them visible to certain membership levels. Also, you can make some content visible to only logged-in users.

However, if you’re starting your fitness business you may install the Basic version and upgrade once you’re established.

Step 2 -Install the Right WordPress Theme

It’s time to choose a nice WordPress theme for your online workout business.

Choosing a right design for your website could be stressing, however, there are thousands of great themes that you can use on your website.

All you need to do is get in your WordPress Dashboard and click on the Appearance link -> Themes.

Record Your Own Workout Videos

We highly recommend you to start recording videos of your own workouts this gives you the chance to demonstrate the correct technique, specific exercises and even fitness gear you use to stay fit.

You can then use these recordings to create your online fitness videos for your clients. They will be able to see what you actually do in the gym.

Create a Customized Workout Plans

If you’re already creating specialized workout videos for your clients, you just need to film the process so that other people can benefit from your work. These specialized videos may help other peoples in similar situations. By filming your workout techniques you can share your videos online.

Step 5 – Sell Your Workout Videos Online

At this point, you have a website, workout videos, workout plans and your nutrition plans. So.. all we have to do is setting up UsersControl to start selling paid subscription plans to allow your users to watch your fitness videos online.

Create Subscription Plans with UsersControl

Login to your WordPress Dashboard and click on UsersControl – Subscription Plans, then click on “Create New”.

UsersControl comes an advanced Content Protection module that allows you to protect your videos and make them available only to certain membership levels. So, the first thing we have to do is defining our subscription plans, setting prices, periods and permissions.

Upload and Protect your Workout Videos

We can embed the YouTube video URL in a WordPress Post. Just click on Posts – Add New link. We will use Gutenberg post editor.

In order embed your workout video you will need to click on the “+” icon. Just copy/paste the embed URL provided by YouTube, then click on the “embed” button.

Your workout video should be displayed as below.

Here you can see the membership plans you have created on the previous step. Just check the Membership Plans the video will be available to. For our example we will make the video available only for Gold Members.

WordPress will create a unique link for your workout video. This link is protected by UsersControl, when a free user tries to watch your video a pre-set message will be displayed.

The Content Protection module allows you to set your custom Title and Message. Which means, you can hide the real post title from not authorized users.

We will use a Test user in order to see how the protection module works. The user has an active subscription. Due our video is available to Gold Members only we would need to edit it and make it available to Silver Members as well.

Click on Posts – Edit and make the video available to Silver members as well. Make sure you save the changes.

The workout video is visible now and your clients can leave messages as well.
